Showdown! team

Hey Fools, I just wanted to quickly share this team that I've been using on Showdown!, since I had a few minutes to spare.

Zapdos @ Leftovers
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 28 SpA / 100 SpD / 28 Spe
Modest Nature
- Roost
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Tailwind

Clefable @ Sitrus Berry
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SpD
Bold Nature
- Follow Me
- Protect
- Icy Wind
- Minimize

Minimize is here to maximise hax for me. It works well since after I use Follow Me twice in a row, coz then the opponent isn't expecting it.

Blaziken @ Blazikenite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 204 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def / 4 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Protect
- Flare Blitz
- Low Kick
- Rock Slide

The Mega Blaziken is basically the focal point of the team, since there isn't much full out offence elsewhere in the team. Max attack for obvious reasons. The Speed EVs allows it to outspeed Mega Salamence after one Speed Boost and that's the only thing really. The rest was dumped into defences. Works really well with Clefable, and they are a very formidable duo together.

Breloom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Spore
- Mach Punch
- Bullet Seed

Aegislash @ Lum Berry
Ability: Stance Change
EVs: 252 HP / 180 SpA / 76 SpD
Modest Nature
- King's Shield
- Wide Guard
- Flash Cannon
- Shadow Ball

Milotic @ BrightPowder
Ability: Competitive
EVs: 204 Def / 252 SpA / 52 Spe
Bold Nature
- Protect
- Ice Beam
- Scald
- Recover

Absolute garbage spread, but I didn't feel like using Suicune for some reason.

7 Feb Johannesburg VGC 15 tournament

Hi Fools! The tourney at Bright Water Commons has just ended, and it was a really great one too. My friend Morné managed to win all 4 of his matches to claim the number one spot! Stephen came second and I managed to clinch third spot. I'm just going to give my thoughts on Morné's team and my team, as I'll leave Steve's team up to your imagination (or he can write about his experience with it at a later time lol).

Here's what the top three used:

Morné Steinmann's team:

Very fast, very powerful Pokémon from Morné. Great offensive synergy was achieved here, and I'm in no way surprised that he did so well.

Clefable with Follow Me allows Salamence to not get hit by those dreaded Ice moves, as well as having great overall bulk and its access to Icy Wind makes it even more handy. If you haven't yet got one of these Fairy mon, I strongly urge you to go ahead and breed one. It's definitely one of the top 3 redirection users in the game! Morné's Clefable was an absolute pain to deal with in our matches, since my Bisharp got knocked out fairly early on and I had no reliable means of dealing with it after that.
